Waterford Harvest Festival 2012

After a long week spent at work or looking after the children, the weekend is a time to kick back, relax and savour with the family. What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon then with a fun filled family afternoon celebrating healthy eating and living for all ages in a relaxed setting. The People’s Park will be a hive of activity with a feast of children’s workshops, including sports, crafts, drumming and much, much more.

You can make a windmill, watch a sword fight or get your little hands busy and creative with sand. Bring along your own picnic to enjoy at the outdoor picnic area or purchase delicious food from the various vendors on site. With music, balloon art and face painting, there’s something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

The Waterford City Childcare Committee marquee will take care of play for the babies to preschoolers. Little hands can get messy with squidgy play dough ( up to preschool age) and for the small babies (up to 18months) we have Treasure Baskets that they can explore and investigate with loads of different objects to stimulate their senses.

Workshop participation is on a first come, first served basis. Some may have a nominal charge.  Schedules at information tent on the day.
